Having continuous support from someone who has attended hundreds of births was very important to me when I considered preparing for birth of our first son. We interviewed five doulas, and ultimately Tiffany was the one my husband and I connected with most naturally, and boy am I glad we both chose her!
We ended up with an unplanned induction due to preeclampsia at week 39 and Tiffany went above and beyond with her support, coaching us through every decision through 24 hours of labor and helping us rest and prepare for what was to come. Ultimately, I was able to avoid a c-section, which I really credit to my ability to persevere - there is absolutely no way my husband and I could have done it without Tiffany.
We were fortunate to have Tiffany’s support a couple nights a week for the first couple months. We anxiously awaited those nights which started with comforting and educational conversations that helped us come into our own as new parents. She also supported me as I navigated the crazy world of getting nursing going. It was such a relief to know we could expect a break every few days during those tricky first 8 weeks. The extra sleep helped me and my husband show up better during the day and recover from the unexpected birth experience.
Now, my husband now explains to other expectant dads how they should consider a doula and points them to Tiffany! I recommend the same with absolutely no reservations :)
