If you are thinking about adding a doula to your birth/postpartum team, I would 1000000% recommend Adele. She has the best vibes, is incredibly knowledgeable and is so supportive in all aspects - from prenatal care and labour, to helping me navigate postpartum with my new babe, I couldn’t have done it without her. During prenatal home visits, we connected and it felt like she had become apart of the family. She helped me stick to my at home water birth plan which I am so grateful for. She was my cheerleader through labour - keeping me calm and reminding me 100 times over that I could do it. She also took the most beautiful photos so I can look back on this special day forever. After the birth she helped clean up and stuck around to make sure I was ok and that breastfeeding was going well. She came to visit after the birth and helped with laundry and made us food. Adele goes above and beyond. We had an incident where we ended up going to the hospital when baby was 4 days old and she came with us and advocated for us. I am so grateful for that as I was incredibly sleep deprived at that point and was so emotional. We were also having some issues with breastfeeding and she came to our house very late at night and coached me through it. Whenever I texted her to ask questions, she replied always in a timely fashion and never made me feel stupid. She was always there to listen and was there for me to lean on.
Long story short - she’s the best and is an excellent addition to your birth/postpartum team. Thank you Adele for everything. We love you!
