Testimonial for Katherine Smith
One of the three people that I couldn't have done without during the birthing is Katherine. She was a friend and a great supporter with her knowledge of the process and helped me guide through the not-so-comfortable hours (35 hours of labor in total). She was very patient and encouraging all throughout. She helped me try various positions when the active labor had begun, gave me a lot of back and shoulder massages, which helped me relax and made me feel wonderful in between the painful contractions.
Katherine also setup some comfortable lights for ambience during the bath, which helped me further relax. She has done much more, I remember feeling that only my mother would have done some of the things she did to me during that time.
Katherine followed up after the birth checking in on me, to see if I have any questions or needed any help. If I am going to have another baby, Katherine is going to be my Doula again, given she is available. Thanks again, Katherine!
