I honestly don’t know how we would have navigated birth and postpartum without Barbie.
Her calm, knowledgeable, and joyful presence calmed my nerves throughout our journey. Barbie was a constant source of knowledge and support throughout pregnancy, helping us switch providers when mine went on leave at 7 months. She is a steadfast advocate and source of insider knowledge on how the hospitals work and how to navigate access to care in an opaque system. She took professional-level birth photos that we will cherish forever. She visits postpartum and takes work off of your plate when you’re exhausted. She honestly does it all, and with such grace and humility. After a very long and somewhat traumatic birth (nuchal cord), I would have been lost without her to help me make sense of it all.
