Happy to have chosen Brittney as my doula!
I was nearly 38 weeks pregnant when I started my search (late, I know). At the time, I did not know what to expect and/or what I personally needed from a doula - other than someone who was experienced (understood the process of things in a hospital setting, my options) and could coach with breathing techniques, the works, as I wanted a natural birth. (I met with three doulas.) From the initial video call, I appreciated Brittney’s honesty, understanding, experience and knowledge. She also exuded confidence. Because of this my husband and I chose Brittney and we were lucky that she was available to take us on such short notice.
I did not have much time to utilize Brittney while pregnant but when the time came she was reliable and showed up at the hospital for us. She did a good job being present, coaching me, explaining to us what was happening etc. but also letting my husband and I enjoy the experience together as a couple. It is important to note that my husband and I felt comfortable with her.
She is an angel and a great asset to have on your team for such an important day. Even after the delivery of my son, she has been a great resource answering all of my random questions. :)
