Testimonial for Midwest Doulas- Doulas, Placenta Encapsulation
We used Midwest Doulas for our first pregnancy and never questioned using them again for our second baby. Justine is so knowledgeable on evidence based birth practices and was always there to answer an educational question or provide emotional support. During the birth process she balanced taking control when I needed her to and providing me with compassion and support. Without her knowledge and intuition I would have had an accidental home/car birth! She knew when to get me to the hospital. She’s a wonderful advocate and helped me ask appropriate questions of my provider. My partner also loved working with Justine. He had support during a time where he was anxious and unsure what to do/how to help. Justine helped him provide me with physical and emotional support during labor- she did not take his place but instead gave him an active role in the process. She helped him understand what was happening each step along the way so he could stay informed and know what to expect. I wish we were planning to have more babies so I could work with Justine again :)
