From the first call with Katie, I knew she was going to be a perfect fit for us. She was very knowledgeable and thorough. I felt very comfortable with her. We had a plan for my homebirth and another backup plan in case we needed to be transferred to a hospital. Prior to my birth, she came to my home and went over all the different techniques/positions we could utilize if necessary, depending on how labor went. She had handouts that were useful. She was super sweet with my toddler which is a huge plus for us. She had a lot of tips and tricks to help with pain/labor, which I found very helpful. She made herself available for questions/calls. She was in contact with me when I had any appointments. Near the end of my pregnancy, she would check in and see how things were going/how I was feeling. We did not use a doula with my first birth and we regretted it. This birth, Katie made a huge difference. Most of all, I liked Katie's calming personality. She made me feel at ease even during those strong contractions and talked me through them. Katie has a very warm and caring personality, and along with the knowledge she brings, I highly recommend.
