I could not reccomend Katie enough. I don't know what my husband and I would've done without her helping guide us through my entire birth experience. I have a lot of health anxiety and she was the perfect calming and assuring presence that I needed. After a few scares throughout my laboring process, she constantly assured me and gave me the encouragement that I needed to know that everything was okay. Katie was attentive to whatever my husband and I needed—whether that was talking with us to distract us, translating what the nurses/drs were explaining, getting me water, helping me get in optimal positions to progress my labor, the list goes on. My labor was 27 hours and after countless hours, my delivery ended in a c-section, which was the very last thing that I wanted. She was right there with us to walk through the emotions that come with it. Although she couldn't be there for the surgery, Katie advocated for me and talked with the anesthesiologist to at least be with me at the end when my husband was with the baby. We are forever thankful for Katie and all that she did to help make a very long and difficult birth experience one that I can look back on with joy.
