We chatted with a few doulas before deciding to go with Elle. When we talked with her on the phone, we immediately picked up on the kind of energy we were hoping to bring into our birthing process. She was calmly wrangling her toddler without missing a beat talking to us, going through her history as a mother and a doula and exuding a confidence and calmness that was just what we were looking for. Our intuition was well-founded!
Throughout our months getting to know and working with Elle, she provided amazing support. She's a wealth of information without pushing anything, a source of peace and tranquility without sounding like a motivational poster, a strong advocate for her clients and whatever their needs are, and overall a certified Good Hang in our humble opinion. During the actual delivery - which ended up being very emergent - she kept us grounded and prepared through each twist and turn.
We're really not sure what we would've done without her, and feel so so lucky to have gotten the chance to work with her. We'd highly recommend her to anyone looking!
