She gave me the confidence and tools that I needed to be able to labor at home and have a successful natural vaginal birth in the hospital. She stayed with me from the wee morning hours when my contractions picked up, until I was comfortably postpartum. Even though I’m in the medical field, having a Doula for my first pregnancy was so important to me.
