On the day of the birth, Bethany kept in touch with me via text during early labor. I wanted to get things moving a little and Bethany recommended clary sage. As soon as I smelled the clary sage, my labor got serious! Bethany was very understanding of my wishes for a relaxed labor. Because she had already worked with our midwife as an assistant, she knew exactly what to do to keep an eye on things during the active labor stage and took over all the communication with the midwife so that I didn't have to think about it. Bethany called the midwife team at exactly the right time. She helped my husband fill the birth pool and was an invaluable help with the many logistics involved in a home birth.
