She knows a wide variety of pain management techniques for labor, and did a great job figuring out what might work best for me personally over the course of our meetings. During my labor she was very willing to take instruction, but she was also confident enough to make suggestions (without ever being pushy) and did a good job switching techniques as labor progressed. Her reminders to relax various muscles during early labor, back counterpressure, and then accupressure points on my hands at the end (her recommendation) made a huge difference for me!
