Maria was a wonderful doula to us. She was ready to respond to any questions we had at any time of day or night; she came over on short notice to practice coping techniques with us when I was having some early contractions and helped our little sweetie on the way by suggesting some repositioning techniques that just worked rather promptly. I don’t know what gave her the patience to sit next to me directing me to breathe “in and out” while I was laboring in the tub all night, but I do know that there is absolutely no way that Todd and I could have done this without Maria’s help. She helped us make informed decisions when labor slowed down, and she kept calm and reassuring as nurses and midwife were busy and changed shifts. After the birth of our little Annika, Maria stayed in touch with us and helped us navigate some frustrations after pediatrician’s visits and breastfeeding challenges. Maria is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and open-minded. She will support your childbirth choices and assist you in making the best decisions for your family. Should I ever be brave enough to go for seconds, Maria will absolutely be my doula of choice!
