Jessica was my doula for my 2nd baby and even though I knew what to expect from pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, she was there every step of the way as if I were a first-time mom. The knowledge, dedication, kindness, and patience she showed me and my family is something I never had in my first birth. I had phone support with her, whether it was a long phone call where we bounced options around for my birth plan and figured out exactly what I wanted and how she could best support and advocate for me or a random text at 11:32pm asking “is this my mucus plug?” Jessica was there. Then when labor came, Jessica was there every step of the way encouraging me and supporting me just how we’d discussed. One thing I worried about was my room being too crowded with my birth team in there but having Jessica double as my doula AND my birth photographer was helpful. She wore the hats very well simultaneously, I couldn’t even tell when I had “Jess the doula” vs “Jess the photographer”. That’s a lot of words to say “hire the doula” but I could ramble on forever about the care and attention I received from the best in the business. ??
