Brittany was the support we didn’t know we needed. I had known I wanted a doula for the birth of my first child, but my husband didn’t get why it was so important until we were in the thick of it. We did everything we were supposed to and were as prepared as we possibly could be and yet of course, nothing went as planned. Without Brittany by our sides, keeping us calm and focused on the task at hand, I don’t know if things would have gone as smoothly given the circumstances had she not been there. She made me feel safe while helping my husband to feel like he was not alone and had someone to turn to for help and guidance during a somewhat scary time. Thankfully we are all healthy and happy three months later and I can look back on that day fondly thanks to her. Even though the birth of my first child didn’t go how I wanted it to, the support and love I was surrounded by on that day will always be in the forefront of my mind when I remember the experience of my baby entering the world and the day I became a mother. If you are on the fence about having a doula for the birth of your child, this is your sign to go for it! I promise you won’t regret it, especially if you choose Brittany for your birthing journey! Her kind heart mixed with her peaceful presence, authoritative disposition, and passion for all things pregnancy and birth related, make her the most amazing doula!
