She freely shared a vast amount of information and resources with me. I truly felt she was in my corner. Nothing went as planned when it came time for the birth of my son. If I had not had Heather to help me prepare for all of the possibilities I sincerely believe the experience would have been traumatic. Because I was so well prepared I understood fully my options at the birth. The experience though not as planned was one I felt empowered in.
