During the hours when my daughter decided to be born, I held onto Lisa's dreadlocks and sang. Thanks to her, Zoe and I had a beautiful and powerful birth experience, free from fear, deep and revealing.
Throughout the birth, I felt like I was in another dimension, but I remember so much. I remember when she arrived, a bright light seemed to enter with her. She lit candles, filling the room with the sweet scent of orange, started playing soothing music, and her warm hands began to gently massage my back. During moments of unbearable pain, I leaned on her, moaning, growling, and sometimes even laughing. Her eyes were always close, full of life, bringing me calm and reassurance, especially when the pulse of life felt stronger than ever. Sometimes, she would sit aside and draw in a notebook, but always remained connected to me. She created a peaceful space when I needed solitude and supported my husband, who was by my side the entire time. She captured touching photos and videos of Zoe’s first moments with us.
After the birth, she visited us at home, took care of me, brewed healing herbs, massaged my belly, and helped me relax and sleep. Her care was invaluable and comforting. Recently, she performed a postpartum sealing ceremony for me, but this needs a separate testimonial.
