I truly had an incredible experience with Albina as my doula. I can’t say enough words on how grateful I am that she was there the whole time! From helping me have a birth plan, to what I should expect, to understand positions, and most of all have a positive mindset! All these things really matter when you’re having a baby, it’s not a walk in the park and the labor is not always pleasant. Our baby was due on December 15th, but like so many first-time babies, ours came late. On December 25th I was induced, and boy was I in for a surprise. I had a clear game plan that I was going to have this baby naturally and unmedicated, but after laboring for what felt like an eternity it was time to help my body open and try to get it to fully dilatated to deliver our little one. Every time doctors, nurses, and medical staff came into the room, Albina was sure to help advocate and help both my husband and I ask the right questions. This helped so much because my birth plan didn’t go as I planned, and my delivery ended up being a c-section. Throughout the process a lot happened, if not for our doula I know that my experience would’ve played out traumatizing. I look back on the birth of my son and remember there was such a sense of peace. Albina ushers in a wealth of wisdom and I would encourage anyone and everyone who is having a baby to have her be there on the journey with you, you really won’t regret it!!
