We had an amazing home birth experience for our first child with Marcia! As new parents, Marcia helped us navigate a lot of the decisions we had to make during pregnancy by providing resources one on one and in a birth class, and sharing her depth of experience with others. Marcia has an exceptional ability to listen to your needs and provide the best care for you during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum.
We called Marcia at 2am during labor and she helped me into a more comfortable position before she headed our way. Marcia was key in supporting me and my husband- she knew when I needed encouragement, physical comfort, water (lots of water!) and when it was time to change the setting we were in. She had me move to the shower which was the most comforting part of my labor and really helped me progress.
Marcia guided my breath to help me support my baby’s delivery; when everything felt so intense and out of my control she kept me grounded and strong. Once our son arrived, Marcia helped him latch and get the two of us comfortable.
She was an integral part of my postpartum healing, as she kept in close communication for the following month or so guiding me through the physical and emotional changes that came. We FaceTimed for breastfeeding support and during her visit she helped me find a better set up in our bedroom so nursing was more comfortable.
Marcia was also able to capture photos of our birth while being with me 100%! It was incredible and we’re so grateful she was part of our team!
