Chelsea was especially helpful with working with my breathing during contractions. She never left my side, encouraged me to look in her eyes, breathed with me and even made the same sounds with me. I found this extremely validating as well as absolutely essential for me to stay present during the labor and not spin out of control. Her presence was calm and confident, and she was extremely comfortable in our home, even though she’d never been there before. I really appreciated the space she gave to me and my partner at times, and I so appreciated the support she provided my partner—encouraging him to eat and giving him time to set up the birth pool. We cannot imagine the same successful birth outcome without her presence. We feel so fortunate to have met Chelsea!
