Testimonial for Elan Eddington
I want to shout it from the rooftops how amazing Elán is. If I have my next kid in Idaho falls I can’t imagine not having her by my side. My birth was extremely quick and if it weren’t for Elan’s doula experience, awareness of the situation and attention to detail we would not have made it to the hospital. While at home there wasn’t a single contraction where she was not there offering counter pressure, she made the atmosphere so calm and happy that I look back on the challenge of labor with great fondness. She even made sure the back seat of my car was cleared out and comfy with a blanket so that I was comfortable on the way to the hospital. She made sure to notify the rest of the birth team before we made it so everyone was ready for me. She advocated for my desires to the nursing team. She helped me listen to my body during transition and pushing. While it was an intense experience I was never once afraid. I don’t know if I would be able to say the same if Elán hadn’t been there for us every step of the way.
