I had seen other reviewers say that hiring Sara was the best decision they made when having their baby, I can now wholeheartedly say that I agree. We hired Sara when I was 6 months pregnant with our first. Her pricing was very reasonable compared to others. After speaking with her, we knew she was the one because of her experience and her calm presence. She is knowledgeable without being pushy, kind but assertive. What really sold us on Sara was that she comes to your house before the baby to do some training, and then she comes to your house when you go into labor so that you can hold off on going to the hospital as long as possible (so that you get a room quickly when you get to the hospital/ other reasons which was so helpful). There was just SO much I just didn’t know with it being my first time pregnancy. I’m not the hippy crunchy type but I knew I wanted to be efficient with medication and anesthesia given the research on its effects on the baby and such, and Sara made us the most perfect birth plan to cater to all of our wishes. I was scared of labor and delivery because my mom had a long and painful experience, but with Sara’s guidance I was able to deliver naturally without induction within 12 hours of getting to the hospital (and I DID opt for epidural, but she helped me push it off until the last possible moments so that it didn’t slow down the labor). She also just cares a lot, she brought lights and essential oils to make the delivery room a peaceful setting, which was so nice. And when it came time to push, Sara was able to work alongside with the nurses and doctors to make sure my birth plan was followed, even during a few scary moments when things seemed like they weren’t going well. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about Sara and the whole birthing experience. I’m so happy we hired her for our first, and will always be grateful for our beautiful birth story with her!
