Elle was the most supportful doula I could imagine -- especially for my unmedicated, natural birth which was faced with a lot of pressure for refusing medical interventions. I was several weeks past my due date and she was so considerate and reassuring about my off-and-on early labour and mindful of not bringing me any extra stress. Since I went over 42-weeks, my whole birth plan shifted and I had to go to a hospital rather than a birthing center. It was so beneficial to have Elle there through that issue, since she ended up being the only caretaker who stayed consistent in my birth team.

Also, she did a great job of advocating for me in the hospital as much as possible. I had to stand in Triage for a long time, and she helped usher things along with the doctor so I could get to a room sooner. Also, she literally got down on the floor and helped me through my contractions in the awkward traige room, to help alleviate the pain I was having. It was so so helpful.

And then, in the hospital room, she found ways to support me and be respectful of my space, even when I was in the shower in my own meditative/hypnobirhthing state. She set up my space with battery-lit candles, so it could be a nurturing environment. She got into positions that must've been awkward for her just to help me through contractions, and was able to see what I needed without me needing to communicate much through words - and just silently support me and help with my contractions while respecting my space.

She also was great with managing doctors conflicting requests in the middle of labour, and also after the baby was born.

I'm so grateful that I ended up having Elle at the birth and highly recommend her to all mommas-to-be. She truly has a love for supporting women through their births, has a lot of knowledge, and goes above and beyond to make a woman's birth as pleasant as possible. I highly, highly recommend!
