We had a homebirth for our first born and we are SO glad and grateful to have Brooke as our doula! Brooke was very knowledgeable, articulate, resourceful, and supportive. Brooke's calming presence and suggestions on position changes helped us to stay calm and helped me to progress in labor. For a first time mom, my labor was so quick (only 9.5 hours!) that Brooke ended up having to catch my baby while I was on all fours since the midwives missed the birth! My baby was the first baby she caught, yet she was super calm and confident about it that I thought she catches baby all the time.
One thing my husband and I really loved was the Spinning Babies stretches and Miles circuit that Brooke taught us. We thought that they really helped position our baby into her optimum position.
Towards the end of my pregnancy and birth journey, Brooke was more of a sister figure than a doula to me, so it was bittersweet to say goodbye :)
I'd totally recommend Brooke to anyone who is expecting!
