Our journey with Renee continued through the 4th trimester. We had a lactation “class” with her and she continued to ensure that our baby was nursing. I had a lot of difficulty finding the right position and I worried if she was getting enough. As it turned out, our daughter had a tongue and lip tie and Renee was the only one who caught it and advocated for her. She even directed us and referred us for treatment and follow up care. Our daughter’s latch improved and the extreme gas pain she was having greatly decreased. This helped our breast feeding journey and probably saved it, too!
I can’t tell you how many phone calls, texts, audio messages and home visits we had! But Renee responded every time. She truly made me feel, not only heard, but validated. We were doing a good job! She continued to help us find what worked for us and found other ways when something didn’t anymore.
Our pregnancy, delivery and postpartum felt as successful as it was because we had Renee in our corner. I can’t say enough how vital Renee was and is for our entire journey. I can’t imagine what it would have been like without her! I honestly think I would have given up with breast feeding if it wasn’t for her. She listened to us, taught us, gave us guidance and insight but most of all, cared. Because of her, I felt comfortable and safe. She empowered me to feel that I could do this! Even though, I’m very stubborn, she didn’t give up on me. Not only did Renee focus on me, but she gave Stephany attention and validation, too. Her checks in were for the both of us. Her teachings were for both of us.
We highly recommend her for anyone’s pregnancy journey. We are eternally grateful for her. And it helps that she’s funny, too! She’s a 10 out of 10
