A doula was always something I considered and I had no idea where to start. Right around the time I got pregnant, a friend had just had a baby and posted that Amanda was her doula, and how incredible her experience with her was. I reached out to get the information and we set up an interview with Amanda.
That was the only doula interview we did -- we immediately loved Amanda and knew she was a right fit. And boy, are we glad we did! We tell everyone we know that hiring Amanda as our doula was one of the best investments we've ever made.
She met with us every month for a check in and education. We learned so much in each meeting and Amanda was always kind and encouraging.
As for my birth experience, I literally cannot imagine it without her there. My husband was so grateful to have someone helping him through being an amazing birth partner as you don't realize how often you're left in the room alone while in labor. Having Amanda always there was such a blessing. She was so helpful, both to myself and my husband.
Additionally, she stopped by a few weeks after I had my baby to make sure I was doing okay. Not only did she take the time to come to my home, but also stayed to just chat, answer questions, and see my baby.
Without hesitation, I'd recommend Amanda to anyone looking for an amazing birth doula. We'll definitely be hiring her again in the future!
