My experience with Jennifer W. Is unforgettable. Also the afterbirth attention she gives still months to a year later is incredible and so considerate of my needs and my kids. I was a new mom, a young one at that. I was 19 years old and had my mom but just wasn't someone I could actually talk to and felt judged for being pregnant. I know it isn't the most idle thing. I was so nervous but going up to her and hearing all the ways she could help and just making me so comfortable. I knew that's someone I wanted to go to talk to. It's scary being a first time mom not knowing anything or what's gonna happen. But anytime I had questions she was their. What I was feeling, and these changes to my body. When my water broke, I didn't even know what was going on or if I was post to immediately go or wait. When I was in labor I made sure to keep updates with her and she was on top of everything. They wanted to induced me and I said ok, but I was so scared to do that and I told her. But she said that their is other ways to try like walking around or the bouncy ball or staying hydrated and soon enough 3 hours later I had my beautiful boy with no tears, vaginally. I knew I wanted to breastfeed but he couldn't latch and I thought how I failed not being able to do that and was just gonna give up. But she told me how important that breastmilk was and how what to do if I became full and in pain, also what to eat to make sure he was good. And what I should be doing to take care of my body and health, because if I was in a stable and my well-being was good than I would be able to give my all to my child. A year later I was pregnant again.she was still alert of everything I was saying and making sure I stay on top of it. I woke up with pain one day and it was unbearable so I called and she was right their telling me to go to the hospital make sure I had what I needed so I went and an hour later I had my daughter, no tears and vaginally again.Thank you.BEST DOULA EVER!
