Hiring Sheri as our Doula gave me and my husband so much peace! We had our first baby last August and I found trying to navigate what I wanted for my birth quite daunting. Sheri was there to help me define what I wanted my birth experience to look like and when complications arose, she helped us navigate the changes in plans. I planned for a natural home birth, but had a Cholestasis scare at 36 weeks of pregnancy which put me in the hospital for an induction at 37 weeks, not what I had wanted and I was scared. Sheri helped my husband and I navigate a new plan for an as natural as possible hospital birth. I was in the hospital overnight and received test results the next day that I was in the clear to go home....phewww...home birth was back in the plan! Sheri even drove my husband and I from bloomington back yo East Peoria...extra service! I continued on to have a home birth 2 days before my due date and I am sooo thankful Sheri was my Doula! She displayed so much love and care as she guided me through my birth. It was an amazing birthing experience and if we decide to have another baby, we will hire Sheri for our Doula again, no question!
