Leading up to the birth, Dani was with me through the entire pregnancy. She helped me through the early stages of morning sickness and assisted me in making decisions with what I could handle at work. She watched my little guy while I went to drs appointments and even hung out with him while I tried to get a nap in. She will always be my number 1 pick when it comes to babysitting and I am crazy when it comes to people watching my kids! My biggest issue throughout my birth experience was actually how my son would handle me being away at the hospital among other things related to him adjusting to new baby coming. Dani was incredibly empathetic to all of my hormonal woes and assured me the entire time that everything would be fine and constantly had facts and information at the ready for any concern I had. Towards the birth, I actually preferred her to be home with my son instead of in the birthing room, being that he had never spent the night away from me. She stayed with my son the entirety of the time I was gone, and when I got home, she had organized my kitchen, cleaned my apartment, and had food ready for me!! AND my son had a huge smile on his face when I got home!! She had made me bone broth from scratch, among many other warming foods as presented by the book, First 40 Days. Post-birth, Dani continued to support me in ways such as holistic pain management, post-natal exercise, dealing with PPD, nursing issues with babe, stopping by to watch both kids while I SAT DOWN to eat a full meal and shower, and even night nursed in the early days. She did grocery runs for me, took walks with me to get me out of the house, baby wore while she cleaned my apartment... Iam struggling to keep this comment under 2000 words, but to sum it up, Dani knows all and has an absolutely beautiful heart and mind. If she doesn't already have the information to help support whatever your needs are, she will figure it out and be your angel, too.
