I’m writing on behalf of my family to recommend Jill as your doula with the highest regards. Jill is a true provider. Jill provided many things to us as new parents-to-be: knowledge, confidence, kindness, consistency, guidance, and advocacy. Jill’s guidance touched on all aspects of the birthing experience in such an appropriate and necessary way. She helped to prepare us for labor and delivery, led discussions about role expectations and how to support each other in our relationship, guided me in building my birth plan, and shared personal and professional experiences to help me with my own readiness for childbirth. She shared her thoughts and insights on difficult situations, providing the whole picture with thoughtful detail, with loving support of our personal choices while creating a safe environment. She consistently checked in and remained for a sincere, strong, and reliable presence throughout our time working together. We felt very supported. Jill stayed by my side through days of a hard labor and I felt comforted as if accompanied by a life-long friend. Jill provided support for our whole family including my partner and child, however I felt I had a true personal friend and confidant through such a new and uniquely challenging time. I always felt seen and uplifted. Jill brought nothing but love into our space and home with each visit. In my postpartum time, Jill played a critical role in helping us process our birthing experience. We ended up with many unexpected turns during childbirth and had to make lot of decisions. Without Jill’s support as our Doula during childbirth, as well as in the postpartum time, we may be telling a very different story. And as new, unexpected challenges and needs have surfaced, Jill has served as a wealth of information and resources for professionals in the fields of infant care, postpartum recovery, and lactation. We knew we wanted a Doula, but feel so blessed to have found Jill. She has a true gift.
