I cannot imagine our birth story without Terri. I went back and forth about getting a doula for the longest time. We spoke to several before we found Terri and I’m so grateful we did. She’s the perfect balance of not being adversarial with your doctors and nurses but remaining a very strong advocate for you. She absolutely wants you to have the birth experience you want but offers very solid suggestions when your inexperience might lead to some silly preferences. It was beyond reassuring to have her just a text or call away as the big day approached. There really is no other resource that compares to that. But most importantly Terri is the most loving supportive cheerleader when you’re in labor. You’re partner and mom, they’re great, but Terri knows exactly what you need in terms of your bodily comfort AND mental coaching. She will just build you up the whole time in exactly the way you need. Also she has the BEST LC rec so make sure to get the info from her if breastfeeding isn’t going smoothly. Terri is a force of love and I’m so happy we had her at our birth <3
