We worked with Jodi as our postpartum doula and we are so glad that we made this decision. Before our baby was born we were very nervous about how we would navigate through the newborn stage, since we are first-time parents with no family or relatives who live nearby. We are also the first in both of our friend groups to have a child, so we really had no one to ask for help or advice. Jodi visited our house three times a week, four hours each visit, and she was a tremendous help that we could not have survived without. She was professional, informative--we quite literally bombarded her with questions--, kind, and we could tell that she genuinely loves her job and cared for our baby. She was also far from militant and was non-judgmental when it came to all kinds of parenting decisions (and changes in decisions) we made, such as how we fed our baby or how often we bathe our baby. She also happily offered to take care of our baby while we had a chance to catch up on our sleep or go out for a break. On top of that, she is just an amazing human to talk to! I truly enjoyed listening to her family stories and how she raised her children as a mother. Overall, working with Jodi was worth every penny we spent on it, and we would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a postpartum doula.
