We were so incredibly lucky to have met Karen and have her be our guide throughout the birthing process. We always wanted a natural and unmediated birth and Karen is a a deep proponent of the same philosophy and did absolutely everything to ensure that we were able to experience what we had planned for. Karen even went as far as planning her personal international trip around the birth of our child. Where Karen's help and support became extremely evident was through the birthing process itself. Karen is such a calming presence and a voice of reason that we cannot imagine how we would have been able to get through it without her support. Karen also has extensive experience as a pediatric nurse which is also extremely helpful in navigating through the stressful birthing process in a hospital or a birthing center setting.
