I could not have wished for a better birth doula than Jean. When I gave birth, everything happened so much faster than anyone would have expected. We made it to the hospital only 20 minutes before our baby was born, and in this indescribable situation Jean was the only one whose calm, clear, and loving words really got through to me.
Jean was absolutely fantastic in helping me process the whole experience in the hours and weeks that followed. Right after our baby was born, Jean had the best instinct for all those little details that I never asked for, but that were just wonderful - like some hot tea to drink, a warm blanket wrapped around me, noise-cancelling earphones to help me relax a bit, just to name a few. Days later, she even wrote down her recollection of the birth in a very detailed and loving way, which has allowed me to fill in some important puzzle pieces I had been missing.
I cannot reccomend Jean enough. I am so, so grateful for all her loving support on this journey.
