We cannot thank Ashley enough for all of her support throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience! Ashley was extremely helpful with providing knowledge around how to optimally prepare for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), which is the type of birth I wanted. Ultimately, due to circumstances out of our control, I did have another cesarean birth. Ashley’s support through that process of needing to change the plan was instrumental in helping me to feel empowered by the decision, rather than upset and potentially traumatized. I will forever be grateful that we had this type of support, and I highly encourage everyone, whether it’s your first birth or fourth birth, or whether you are planning a VBAC or scheduled cesarean, to highly consider working with Saltwater Doulas.
