Through the birth preparation Molly was tender, supportive, and a constant friend. She helped guide decisions by talking them through and providing knowledge and resources, but always followed my lead and supported my choices. Molly was also inclusive of my husband every step of the way helping him to be confident and ready, which made our birth experience even more meaningful.
In the birthing room Molly had a strong presence despite her gentle demeanor. She advocated for me every step of the way making sure I was fully informed, had control, and was comfortable. She collaborated and was amiable with the medical team, but was never afraid to step in to take time to check what felt right for me or remind them of the birth plan. She was also the reason my water was always full, my hair was pulled back, I had everything I needed, and the beautiful pictures to remember the experience.
While Molly brings all of this care, compassion, and education to the experience her greatest gift was giving me the confidence to trust my birth and trust myself. She empowered me to embrace my instincts and believe in my abilities as a mother. She helped me reframe birth from something scary into something beautiful.
