Barbie has a wealth of information from her extensive experience assisting births that was incredibly helpful at every stage, from pregnancy to postpartum. Her familiarity with our hospital and midwives was a great bonus. When the birth didn’t go according to plan, she was informative and comforting in facing unexpected circumstances and tough decisions, and the detailed notes she took have allowed us to better recount and process our experience.
Barbie is also a genuinely lovely person and getting to know her has been a pleasure. Her presence during the long, late hours at the hospital was a great comfort and we’re very grateful to have had her as our doula.
