We had our 2nd baby in December 2023 and were looking for doula and got multiple great references for Leslie so we reached out to her and had initial consultation in which she asked us our top priorities for which we are looking for Doula and explained the whole process and responsibilities of doula. We took after birth doula services.
Main points:
1) Taking care of our daughter, new born.
2) Taking care of laundry (putting in washer and dryer and fold it), wash baby bottles, feed baby and snacks for daughter.
3) our biggest concern was handling our elder daughter and making her understand about this big change. Leslie is expert in that and helped make this transition very smoothly for her by engaging her with activities in taking care of baby as well as other play/painting etc activities.
4) taught us different positions to burp baby, how to give bath to baby, massage baby, things to do to make baby feel better when baby feeling gassy and many more tips around handling baby.
5) send us report of everything she did as well as photos she clicked so we know when baby had milk, diaper change, daughter had snacks etc.
6) She is a wonderful person, warm, caring and someone exactly with whom we felt comfortable leaving our daughter and newborn and able to sleep peacefully.
The best and smoothest days we had after baby birth was in the days Leslie came because she managed everything and we were able to get good rest. We are very happy with her services and felt like having a family member at home. We highly recommend having Leslie as Doula if you want have best experience and want to relax even after having a new born.
