Nicole was a wonderful partner to have for the birth preparation and birth of our first child. Without her, I think my birth experience might actually have ended up being somewhat traumatizing!
We took some prenatal classes and did our own research, but the birth preparation sessions with Nicole brought us so much and were most useful. She is very knowledgeable, empathetic, and her advice evidence-based. She helped us navigate the end of my pregnancy with peace, and worked with us on my birth preferences with great tools and information. Her approach was tailored to us, our situation, and the hospital were we were planning to give birth (BC Women's).
On the birth day, nothing went wrong but nothing went as planned either. I am so grateful Nicole was by our side to help us navigate the experience and I cannot imagine what it would have been like to go through it without her. I notably had to make a lot of decisions on the spot, and Nicole's emotional, physical, and psychological support was absolutely priceless at that point.
