I'm so happy my husband and I made the investment and trust in Terese from Fika Newborn for postpartum overnight care. Even though we spent a lot of time to try to prepare for our first born, Wesley there is only so much I think we were able to learn and retain before his arrival.
From the first night back home from the hospital, Terese helped us to quickly establish routines, assist with bottle feeding and lactation advice, and provide a plethora of baby health and developmental resources.
Another huge benefit she offered, was access to borrowing several baby gear which allowed us more access to trial and error various items before buying a ton unnecessary gear, i.e. breast pump models, various swaddles, a lactation massager, and baby ssshher device to name a few. This helped to alleviate some of that buyer's fatigue feeling!
Speaking of fatigue, it can't be understated how insanely helpful it was for my husband and I to get a few extra hours of shut eye and to have onsite consulting while in the middle of the night. I'm certain her guidance and tips helped us to make small, effective, and gradual pivots in our approach helping our son to adjust to our home as well as boost our confidence as new parents. Thus, less mutual stress and crying = more rest ??.
