Working with Amber was a wonderful experience. They were so helpful to me and my spouse as we navigated pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The childbirth education class that we took really helped me to finalize my birth preferences and understand all the different options that were available to me. It was also so helpful to work with someone who had experience at deliveries in the hospital that we were going to deliver at. Having a doula during my baby’s birth was vital as a form of support for not only me but also my spouse. As a first-time parent we did not have any pervious lived experience to compare labor to and the one-on-one attention of a doula helped me to feel confident in my decisions in the moment even when they involved deviating from my original plans. Amber’s presence also provided support to my spouse to know that I was being taken care of if he needed to rest. I also loved the baby wearing session that I did with Amber and the sessions that we had postpartum were helpful to allow me time to recover and rest.
