Rebekkah was the person I didn't know I needed at the birth of my third baby. She was the back-up for my doula who was sick on the big day. I talked with her in the morning when I thought I might be going into labor. She gave me a few suggestions and told me to call again when I thought things were progressing so she could have a heads up before I went to the birth center. Well, my body didn't give me a heads up, and she was very understanding when I called her to say I was heading to the birth center without any warning. I met Rebekkah for the first time when she arrived at the birth center and immediately got to work helping me through contractions. She offered a TENs unit and it was the most amazing relief I have experienced. She did hip squeezes and offered position suggestions. Things progressed quickly and she helped support my body in the birthing position I chose. My baby girl was born 2 hours and 28 minutes after Rebekkah walked through the door. After delivery, I got to talk with Rebekkah for a bit and realized she is such a wonderful human! I'm so grateful to God that she was who supported me through my final labor and delivery. It was my best birthing experience and I credit a lot of that to her expertise as a doula. I wish I knew about Rebekkah for my previous two births!
