When I was pregnant with my first child in the height of the Covid pandemic, I was overwhelmed with decisions about navigating a birth without the support of extra family/friends that I always thought would be able to attend. When our hospital told us that we were allowed to have a doula for support, I reached out to Meredith. It was the best decision my husband and I could have ever made. She was overwhelmingly kind, listened to every concern and assuaged every fear, and supported us every step of the way. Even throughout a 36 hour labor and delivery, she never let up her constant encouragement and support. I can't imagine not having her as such an important piece of our birth story. After delivery, she supported us during the postpartum period, helping with breastfeeding and newborn care tactics. She stayed up countless nights caring for our sweet baby boy so that we could get a good night sleep, washing my pump parts, bottles, and answering every question I had about my changing hormones and body.
