My husband and I decided we wanted a doula by our side after going through several challenges with pregnancy after successfully having our first child. Emotions and angst were high as a result of our experiences and we knew we needed an advocate, someone equipped with the knowledge and a calming voice on our team. Liz brought the skills, knowledge and grounding to our birth team, so much more than we could've ever expected! There was never an ounce of doubt in having her in our corner. She helped us weigh many decisions that were presented during the pregnancy, accompanied us to some prenatal appts for additional eyes and support, always offered to have an extra chat or two during the weeks where the anxiety and overwhelm hit just a little harder than usual and the post partum support was priceless. If I took anything from her presence, it was to "Birth without Fear," to trust my body in this process and to advocate!
Advice for anyone looking for a doula - HIRE HER! Liz is a beautiful, fierce force - she brings passion, connection with her clients and such a calm presence in that birthing room. I was able to confidently and calmly birth my 9lb, 11oz baby, naturally. Liz is a pillar of support that we will always remember and hold dear everytime we think of the birth of our son (our sweet double rainbow baby). Thank you, Liz! You've provided such grounding for us during our journey of pregnancy and we will never ever forget it :)
