Juliana was our Post Partum Doula for 7 weeks. Asking Juliana to be our Doula was, without a doubt, the best decision and investment we made during our parenting/newborn journey.
This was our first baby and my husband and I do not have family nearby. We were looking for someone knowledgable who could help us navigate this new and exciting, but nerve wracking stage. Juliana exceeded all of our expectations. Not only was she incredibly knowledgable of newborn and baby care, but every night she came, she was warm, professional, beyond kind and patient.
Juliana not only took impeccable care of our baby, but she constantly helped me navigate becoming a new mom; from lactation help to always checking in on my recovery and mental wellbeing. Juliana became my go-to for all of it. We would talk and catch up each night, but also texted very often. She was always willing to answer any questions throughout the day.
Juliana taught us so much about setting good habits with our baby around sleeping and eating. She let us set the tone on how we wanted to care for our baby and then followed with a wealth of knowledge to help us reach our goals. The first 7 weeks is not free of its challenges. Our baby had a pretty big gassy phase and Juliana had many recommendations that helped our baby feel more comfortable as well as reassured us about what was happening and what we could expect next. Even with our daughter's challenges, she was eating and sleeping very well, and very early on. I credit a lot of that to Juliana's help and guidance.
Our 7 weeks with Juliana was an absolute game changer. By the time they came to an end, I was so sad she had to leave because Juliana feels like family now. We miss her constantly, but have her to thank for the confidence we now have as new parents.
