Dria made my entire experience from pregnancy, labor, birth to post partum so peaceful. This was my rainbow baby after two previous losses and being able to go over my birth plan and having her help while in the hospital was wonderful. I actually ended up refusing to start pushing until Dria was at the hospital just because I needed her there so much.
Drias calming presence, words and actions made labor a much less stressful process. I knew that she was on board with my choices and wishes for child birth and I felt so supported. She has become a part of my family and an Aunt to my sweet baby. I am so blessed to have her in our lives and truly believe that my baby's birth was much more balanced and easy, despite some complications, because of her.
I was induced on a Wednesday and baby was born on a Friday. There were over 3 hours of active pushing and ultimately we had to use forceps. There was concern about retained placenta and throughout all this I had Dria by my side. I would have been so lost in my own head if she had not been there. Towards the end of the pushing I started to become very overwhelmed by the pain and constant contractions but Drias voice anchored me back down to Earth and made it so I was able to stay grounded in the experience. She is a blessing that I will forever be grateful for.
