First time dad here - we were so happy we worked with Rachelle as our doula, and we would hire her again should we have another child. Rachelle was incredible! A few months before the birth, she met with us twice to go over the birth process, stages of labor, etc., and ensured we felt ready for the birth of our child. We both found the classes helpful, and felt better after going through them. Most importantly, Rachelle was invaluable during labor. Rachelle answered our texts all throughout the night (from midnight-8 a.m.) as my wife went into labor. Labor is hard and long, and after being up for 24 hours, I was gassed. Rachelle provided continued support for my wife, which allowed me to take small breaks to nap and recharge. She was also instrumental in ensuring the labor continued to progress. We felt so cared for by Rachelle, and I'm so thankful she was there to support us. As a final note, our midwives, who hadn't worked much with Rachelle before, complimented her to us and told us how impressed they were with her as doula.
I was on the fence about a doula, but couldn't imagine doing a birth without Rachelle.
