I had the privilege of having her co-teach my prenatal and baby class at Birth Matters and her calm presence, wisdom, experience and deep care were invaluable to us in our birth story. We then were gifted hours by family to have Vanessa as a postpartum doula for a few weeks after our son was born and it was a game changer. She would arrive, hold my son, do my dishes, fold laundry and I got to sleep the entire time! Some of the best sleep I have had in months because I knew my son was in the best hands.
