I learned about Jill through a tour at Advent Castlerock Hospital. I had never heard of a doula until then and Jill came highly recommended by the hospital staff.
As a first time mom, I was really looking for extra guidance and support. I am so glad we found Jill for our birthing experience.
Immediately when I talked to Jill for the first time, I felt trust. I could tell she had a lot of experience and because she knew my hospital and staff, I knew I'd be in safe care with her. My experience was absolutely wonderful with Jill, from education, to responsiveness, to resources, all the way to the live labor and delivery where Jill was with me every step of the way and also made me feel so cared for. She learned about me and my husband, our wishes and helped to support it all. We tried several things, she guided me and gave advices and feedback. I could really tell she cared and kept me in her focus always. A couple of the most meaningful moments was when I hugged Jill during labor pains just so grateful for her and again when my birthing plan changed and she reminded me not to be hard on myself. I remember saying just how lucky I felt she was there and I knew I could get through it as long as Jill was there.
I would 10000% work with Jill again, she was kind, warm, knowledgeable, incredibly experienced and a great person. I felt safe, trusting, secure, and capable with her and I cannot thank her enough.
