Carli was incredible to work with! The prep work she took us through leading up to the birth gave us a lot of comfort and confidence as the big day drew near. But where she truly shined was during the labor and delivery. I struggled through back labor and the only bit of relief was when I labored in the shower for three hours and Carli never left my side - she shifted the water spout as I moved positions through every single contraction for those full three hours. She provided vital encouragement and kept me hydrated. Additionally, she helped guide my husband through various labor positions. My husband was so much more relaxed and present throughout the entire 32hr labor because of Carli.
As I neared the end and was pushing my baby, Carli's encouragement was what kept me focused. I was losing steam and losing focus as I went into the final hour of pushing. I was completely gassed and the pressure was becoming unbearable. Carli locked in on me and said "the only way to the other side is to go right through it." That was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment and it is what got me to the moment of pushing my baby boy out into the world.
Additionally, Carli was huge in helping my birth team in the hospital stay aligned to my birth plan.
Thank you, Carli, for being a HUGE part of my incredible labor and delivery experience. I can't imagine it any other way, and if I could do it all again I'd hire you every single time!!
